We are proud to present "1991" by Aardvarck. Almost 23 years after his solo debut e.p. "Extra Voice" he's back on Signum Recordings.
Hi, i am Maarten van der Vleuten, the label owner, and would like to share this brief introduction.
In the summer of 2018 Mike visited me at home and told me how he loved living in Portugal and his ideas about Aardvarck Land. Obviously, this needed funding and that's how the idea for "1991" started.
Four tracks were selected and skillfully mastered by Maarten Blom. It's DIY style all the way without distributors.
We are aware that the record is not cheap but considering the fact it's limited to 149 copies, it's a bargain for this piece of art ! When you buy this record you're not just receiving 4 great tracks pressed on purple vinyl... packed in beautiful handstamped and handnumbered sleeves...(did I mention handstamped and handnumbered labels?) ...but you are also supporting Mike directly !!
