In 1992 Aardvarck was invited by Djax Records to record an E.P. for their label together with Maarten van der Vleuten. Aardvarck already did a remix for Maarten's release on Djax as Cliche Tracks and they also worked together on two tracks that were released on Outrage Recordings, an offshoot of R&S Records.
The Second Groove 2 The Same Nation is Aardvarck's first full length solo EP, recorded and produced by Maarten in his studio.

Aardvarck's idea was to keep it simple.
His actual words were: "Imagine an African tribe programming a TR-909 drumcomputer, that would be awesome !"
Aardvarck programmed drum patterns on the Roland TR-909 and during recording all sorts of animal and environmental sounds were added by Maarten from a cassette tape.

These tracks were released on vinyl in march 1993 on Djax-Up-Beats, the Netherlands.
